UNESCO (O3) Programme

Challenge

A programme of this scale needs materials that match its ambition. UNESCO needed a stakeholder booklet designed from the ground up - one that could communicate complex policy objectives, large-scale data, and a deeply human mission without losing clarity or impact. The document had to work across boardrooms, donor meetings, and government offices, in multiple countries at once.

The Client

UNESCO is the UN's specialized agency for education, with a specific focus on gender equality and Africa. The O3 Programme is their flagship comprehensive sexuality education initiative in sub-Saharan Africa - the largest of its kind on the continent. Running from 2023 to 2027, Phase 2 builds on five years of groundwork to reach millions of adolescents and young people across 37 countries.

Impact

37 Countries
Full booklet
A stakeholder booklet covering 37 countries across East, West, Central, and Southern Africa
Designed to travel across governments, donor desks, and regional offices across sub-Saharan Africa.

Our Approach

We structured the content around clear narrative sections (background, objectives, reach, game changers) and used bold typographic hierarchy, strong photography, and SDG-aligned visual language to give the programme a confident, mission-driven identity.

Infographics and data callouts were designed to make the scale of impact immediately legible - 39.6 million learners, 37 countries, 40 million young people reached through media.

Every design decision was made to serve the reader, not just impress them.
